An account deputy for Nonprofit Resources, Karen brings skills from her careers in education and hospitality. After graduating with a B.A. in English from Augustana University, Sioux Falls, SD, and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN, Karen worked as a librarian and educator in Minneapolis, MN, for several years. More recently, she managed boutique hotels on the Big Island of Hawaii where she continues to live. With Nonprofit Resources, Karen enjoys helping unique organizations achieve their goals.
Karen and her partner Ed enjoy traveling, long walks and hikes, and being outdoors as much as possible. They very much enjoy Hawaii’s people and weather, but still experience winter and mosquitoes by visiting family in South Dakota and Minnesota often.
