Diverse Boards are Bound for Success


“Increasing diversity in an association may be as simple as reducing resistance to change.”

Studies have found that associations that place an active emphasis on diversity, align with significant comfort with change, conflict, and thus, empowerment of others. It provides organizations with good health and flexibility, and a diverse board creates diverse initiatives and specialties in what an association sets out to achieve.

The representation of a board’s culture often indicates how successful their efforts will be. The difference in culture cultivates innovation, and positively challenging ideas. Associations that embrace the abundance of diversity available in society, are undoubtedly bound for success.
