Nonprofit Resources - Association Management Company (AMC)

Welcome to Nonprofit Resources (NR), where diversity and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do! NR believes that every individual should be celebrated, respected, and supported, in an inclusive environment that welcomes authenticity with regard to sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. Pride Month is a time for us to come together as a community, honor the progress made in LGBTQ+ rights, and renew our commitment to fostering an inclusive and accepting environment for all.

As we embrace the vibrant and empowering spirit of Pride Month, we are thrilled to share with you how the Nonprofit Resources team celebrates this special occasion.

“To me, pride is all about acknowledging, honoring, and cherishing individuals who bravely embrace their true selves. I prioritize dedicating time to supporting small businesses within the LGBTQ community, advocating for policies that safeguard their rights, and seeking out educational resources to expand my knowledge of both the community and history of LGBTQ rights.”

Emma Bennett, CAE, VP & Account Executive

“I plan on celebrating pride by attending drag shows, parades, and block parties, while also advocating for the cessation of legislation that adversely impacts my community. Celebrating pride is an opportunity for me to accept and validate all aspects of my identity, including sexuality, love, and self-expression. As the president of a gender-inclusive rugby team, I dedicate a significant amount of my free time to this cause. Our team is affiliated with International Gay Rugby and actively participates in the local LGBTQ+ community by endorsing queer-owned establishments, working together with other LGBTQ+ groups, and contributing to the advancement of equality.”

Abbie Boisvert, Administrative Coordinator

“To me, honoring pride means celebrating love and all the beautiful identities of the LGBTQIA+ community. I will be celebrating Pride Month by using my voice to promote equal rights for all, showing support by wearing rainbow colors all month long, and spending extra time with my LGBTQ+ friends so they know that they are *always* loved and accepted.”

Courtenay Bunner, Administrative Coordinator

“I strive to show my support for businesses and nonprofits owned by members of the LGBTQ+ community. Specifically, I seek out organizations that are focused on promoting the community’s rights and well-being. It’s crucial for me to acknowledge that no matter where I am, there are individuals who could benefit from my support and encouragement.”

Christine Do, Account Executive

“To celebrate Pride Month, I will be attending Flow for Pride, a yoga fundraiser to support the LGBTQIA+ community. All contributions go to the support of the Pride Foundation and Zebra Coalition.”

Kimberlee Hebert, Administrative Coordinator

“In my household, we strive to support and empower every member of the LGBTQ+ community in various ways, including online interactions, personal connections, and participating in local, state, and national elections. I have already participated in many pride activities so far, including a couple of incredible drag shows at my favorite spot. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it is my duty to be an ally for those that may have another letter in common with me. I aim to be a role model for future professionals by embracing my personal and professional life, purple hair, tattoos, and all.”

Clara Hedrick, Operations Officer

“In the past, I celebrated Pride by participating in parades and festive events. However, due to increasing anti-LGBTQIA+ and anti-trans legislation, this year’s Pride will be different for me. This year, I will stand with the LGBTQIA+ community, fighting against unjust laws. I urge advocates and allies to use their power to speak out, particularly in states where these laws are being enacted.”

Michelle Jack, Administrative Coordinator

“To me, celebrating Pride Month means acknowledging those in our lives that are part of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirming our support, love, and respect for them. I regularly act as an ally by always being there for those in my life that identify as LGBTQ+, in whatever capacity they need me.”

Noah Kibbe, Administrative Coordinator

“My family and I are celebrating Pride Month with a Disney-themed concert by the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus, featuring songs from my favorite movie, Mary Poppins. I also plan to attend part of Portland’s attempt to break the world record for longest drag show. The event aims to raise funds for The Trevor Project and combat hate with joy. The increase in violence against the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, has motivated me to be an informed and active ally. I’m most excited about learning, listening, and celebrating with the LGBTQ+ community throughout the two months of Portland Pride, starting in July.”

Brittany Quinn, HR Director, DEIA Consultant, Account Manager

“For me, Pride Month is a time to come together, celebrate diversity, and support and uplift one another. It reminds me that no matter who we are or whom we love, we all deserve respect, dignity, and the freedom to live authentically. It is also a time to express love and acceptance for my LGBTQ+ family members and friends and to let them know that I support them unconditionally and celebrate their identities.”

Hanif Smith, Account Executive

“This year, my wife and are volunteering at Denver’s Pride Fest to entertain the children of LGBTQ+ parents, as well as any other children who might be at Pride Fest. I will be reading a book while my wife sings them songs to get them on the dance floor. We will also march with our church, which usually participates in the parade.”

Laura Whitlock, Marketing Director
