The NPR team is officially getting into “event season”. In the last few weeks, our team has been planning and hosting in-person and virtual events, hosting partner meetings, and facilitating virtual events.

Account Executive, Emily Bremmon, traveled to Kansas City to host her first in-person event since the onset of COVID-19 last week. Emily is currently serving the Basement Health Association (BHA) as their Executive Director and executed their Fall Regional Meeting. BHA is a trade association, and its membership is comprised mostly of basement waterproofing contractors, among other specializations.

In-person events have posed their own set of challenges with the ongoing circumstances of the global pandemic. Adding to the challenge, was the unanticipated aftereffects of the disastrous Hurricane Ida on the East Coast. A large portion of BHA’s members is in the Eastern and Midwest regions of the U.S. Copious reports of flooding swamped waterproofing businesses that traditionally attend the association’s regional meetings. While many members could not attend, BHA still had a successful event with a great turnout from supporting partners and members.

The Basement Health Association Fall Regional Meeting kicked off with a social reception at local hotspot Boulevard Brewing Co., where attendees enjoyed complimentary tastings from the tap and delicious hors d’oeuvres.

Thursday morning started bright and early with breakfast, educational sessions, and exhibitors promoting their products and services to BHA’s membership. Emily hosted virtual speakers for the first time via Zoom to a full conference room. Of course, prepared with a Plan B in case of technical difficulties, that was not needed!

The real fun began Thursday evening at the attendee reception. BHA’s supporting partners provided members with delicious and authentic Kansas City BBQ. The evening continued with a Cornhole Tournament between member companies and sponsors. Teams were competing for a custom set of cornhole boards or free company registration to the next BHA event.

The last day of the BHA Regional Meeting was opened with Keynote Speaker, Chris Kuehl. Chris Kuehl is an Economist and a phenomenal speaker who is popular amongst NPR’s partners. His sense of humor and fresh take on the current state of the economy was a big hit.

NPR has more partner events coming up in the next two months, and we look forward to helping our partner clients host meetings virtually or in-person!
