The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum has welcomed Nonprofit Resources’ very own President and Founder, Kristin Bennett, as the newest member of its board of directors. Her extensive experience in nonprofit management for over 30 years, and her passion for motorcycles make her a great addition to the international museum’s board of directors.
Kristin has been an avid motorcycle enthusiast since she was a little kid. Her dad, Terry Haven, taught her everything there is to know about riding and bike maintenance and continues to ride with him to this day. Her passion for motorcycles and knowledge of professional management are why she was elected to the board.
Kristin lives less than an hour from Sturgis and regularly attends the Annual Rally. Her current motorcycle is an early 90’s Harley Custom Road King that she loves to get out as often as possible to explore the surrounding Black Hills and never-ending back roads in South Dakota. Her all-time favorite ride is through the hills on Needle’s Highway and Iron Mountain Rd.
The mission of the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of motorcycling, honor those who have made a significant impact on the sport and the lifestyle, and pay tribute to the heritage of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
